Scott Sands is a Senior Partner in Simon-Kucher’s Atlanta office and leads the firm’s Sales Effectiveness consulting practice. Scott helps clients deploy sales & marketing resources to drive profitable growth. This includes segmenting customers, developing optimal pricing & channel strategies, sizing/structuring the sales force, creating specialized roles to execute efficient processes, demand generation, setting goals for territories with wide variations in potential, and designing compelling compensation & incentives to attract/focus/motivate/retain top talent.
Scott has over 30 years of experience in multiple consulting and private equity firms. His cross-vertical experience includes all sectors of technology, life sciences, manufacturing, distribution, energy, CPG/retail, business services, and aerospace/defense. In 2006 he co-authored the best-selling book Sales Compensation Essentials. Scott has a Bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University with dual majors in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. He also earned an MBA with focus in Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin.
